Well I’m still in chiang mai and loving every second since i was talk to you last we went on a three day trek up through the jungle and it was amazing!! A few times I thought I was going to die we were climbing and climbing and climbing the heat and humidity were killing me. As well as me being the most unfit person in the whole world but when we got to the top, the views where just amazing not that we had long to look, it was back to walking again until we reached the tribal village where we stayed the night and met a really cool local guy which we had a right laugh with and he ended up coming on the rest of the trek with us.

Day two of the trek this was an easier day we trekked a little up and a lot of down hill stopped at a beautiful water fall for lunch and a swim which was pretty cool, then back trekking a bit more up hill nearly dieing for the 50th time and stopped at the top for a rest when everyone was having a laugh and messing when all of a sudden yes yes Sheena gets bit by something my had started swelling so I think it might have been a spider but we walked down hill, for about 50 min in which I rolled half the way, I fell twice 1st time into a nest of ants and got bit then second time into a thorn bush still have them can’t get the thorns out. But made it to the bottom where we were staying beside the river.

Had a very drunken night a lot of fun with both locals and other people on the trek went to bed pretty late and got up the next morning, myself and Alan were brushing our teeth by the river when all of a sudden 2 elephants came running past I was very frightened but excited as well their minder was taking them for there morning wash in the river it was soooo cooool! We spent ages just standing watching them and the minder couldn’t get them out of the river. It was so funny.

After breakfast it was elephant riding but us 4 opted out as we done it before and think it’s a little cruel so we waited until everyone else was finished then we went white water rafting well I was nervous getting in but when we got going it was so exciting had the time of my life so brilliant. After all that excitment we just relaxed on a bamboo raft floating down the river and stopped for lunch and back to the city again. I have to say though and all as it was I really enjoyed it such a good experience.

Well still in chiang mai myself and Donna done a Thai cooking course had a lot of fun there too! Where leaving for chiang rai tomorrow or the next day for a few days then back to chiang mai to fly to Bangkok on Sunday evening and we fly to Delhi India at 02.00am Monday morning. Will fill you in really soon with the next installment.

HERE ARE A FEW PHOTOS OF DONNA AND I COOKING THAI STYLE!

This is a local woman from the red karen tribe. We visited an eco village set up by the government to help tribes people to learn new skills and some education for the younger generation. But, it is also a big tourist attraction as they have a few different tribes all living in the same village which wouldn't really happen in the real hill tribes.

This young girl is from the long neck karen hill tribe.

She is working with a hand loom to make material for graments or hand bags which they sell mainly to tourists for a very low wage.

This is a young girl from the same tribe she is only 15 and is married with a child (the little boy in the middle),
and the other girl is her sister she has been taught a little Thai and english so we could communicate with her. The tribes all have a language of there own even the different karen tribes have there own dialect.
In this tribe the women where iron coils around there neck as it is seen to be beautiful and even though the avrage wait is about 5kilo's and look very painful they have expressed that they don't want sympthy from the tourist as they choose as individuals to where these coils and when ever they want, they can take them off.

LET THE TREKKING BEGIN!
This was the beging of our three day trek in the jungle!

LET THE TREKKING END!
About 40mins into the trek we're all dying wishing that we were at the top of the hill!!

"What do you mean another 2 hours i've no water left"
Steven.
"HA ha HA HA HA WE DOOOO!!"
Donna and Alan.

Look at how much fun I'm having.

"what do you mean I have to stand on the edge?"
HEY SORRY TRIED TO UPLOAD PHOTO'S BUT ALAS IT'S NOT WORKING! WILL TRY AGAIN SOON!
Since the last update, well we all done a bungy jump from 50meters it was terrifying but when i eventually done it, it was an amazing feeling I didn't even close my eye's. I'll never forget it when I think about it I still can't believe I done it. We all signed up for it and steven went 1st and as he put it "to get it over and done with" well it was so hard to watch him he was terrified up there and we were terrified watching him. In the end the guy up there pushed him but not without his say so, then donna went again she had to be pushed but she didn't take as long to go over the edge!
Of course it came to my turn well I was talking to they guy and trying to find excuses not to jump, he said to me stand up and hold on to the railing then step out to the edge so i done that then he goes no right on the edge i was like wat do you mean the edge i could fall WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING I HAVE TO JUMP OVER THE EDGE BUT I DON'T WANT TO STAND TO CLOSE SO I DON'T FALL OVER THE EDGE. CLEVER ME! then he said he would push me, but i wouldn't let go of the railing, after alot of talking I finally let go and he counted down 3...2...1 WWWWOOOOOOOO THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
I'm so glad i done it was just amazing!

But of course, alan's turn he goes up the guy goes you ready he says yes then 3.....2.....1.... alan goes now he says yes and off alan goes amazing so cool !!!

Other than that we are in chang mai it so much nicer here than bangkok we rented bikes and cycled around the city seen a few temples and things quite alot of fun!!

swadee ka!!

hello everyone this is my blog. I am going to be updating it sporadically with posts and pictures, keeping you all updated on what's going on with us. So far we have been here almost five weeks. We spent roughly a week in the following places, Bangkok, Koh Pangnan, Koh Samui, Koah Sok National Park and now we've been back in Bangkok for a little over a week.

We were just relaxing for the first couple of weeks, having a beach holiday, jet skiing, sunbathing and eating and drinking. In Koah Sok we experienced a bit of jungle living, Alan and Donna both had run ins with leeches, we saw snakes in the trees, macques, gibbons, chipmonks and puppies.

Now we're back in Bangkok and have been a bit more active this time 'round. We went to the shopping district which was a nice change from the backpacker strewn Khao Sarn Road, we went to see two films, The Break Up and Superman Returns (in 3d on an Imax screen). We also went to an aquarium in the basement of a shopping centre.

On Wednesday we went on a tour to the floating market which also included a snake show (for an extra 200 baht), the Bridge over the River Kwai, and a visit to the world famous Tiger Temple where we got our photos taken sitting right beside tigers. Rawr. That was a great experience but slightly nerve racking when the tigers appeared to be getting agitated. But I could have taken them. Rawr.

Today we are going to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, the train leaves at 19:35 and we're getting in at 09:20. Should be a barrel of laughs after I was attacked by mini cockroaches on the last train.

Fill you in later. Hopefully I'll be able to upload some photos soon.
